Sandra Killebrew, AMFT graduated with her Master's in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas. She developed a love for the outdoors through her own experiences hiking and backpacking. This passion propelled her to move to Utah to work in wildnerness therapy, combining her two passions: the outdoors and therapy.
Sandra's training is in Internal Family Systems. She likes teasing apart the internal voices we hear and our psychological complexity to understand our programmed responses of being in the world. Her emphasis is on self-awareness and meaning making as a gateway to lasting peace and well-being. She loves working with couples and families because she believes that we wound, are wounded and heal in relationships. For her, counseling is about bringing people together and into greater relationships with each other and themselves. Her favorite memories in counseling are those filled with the expressions of love and appreciation toward one another, as well as the acknowledgement of hard times.
