Kevin Madsen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). He earned his Master's in Social Work from the University of Utah. Kevin has experience working across the continuum of care from residential, structured day treatment, intensive outpatient and general outpatient settings. He has provided treatment for people who have Substance Abuse, Depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Anxiety, Life Stress, Grief and Loss, Trauma, Relationship Issues, Family Dynamics. He also enjoys working with the LGBTQ community.
Kevin takes an integrative approach, meeting people where they are at and focusing with experiental, emotion focused, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic and Person Centered approaches to best support change and healing. He is trained in Eye Movement Desnsitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to help facilitiate healing from various life upsets and traumatic events. Kevin believes every life matters and all deserve to experience well-being. He meets those he works with with acceptance and compassion. He helps people increase awareness exploring their authentic self, create meaning in their lives, tune into their emotions, and find the relationship in therapy paramount for processing and healing.
